Welcome message from Clár Ní Mhaoláin, Príomhoide
Gaelscoil na Mí was established on the First of September 2011 with 36 children enrolled.
Tricia Ní Mhaolagáin-Hosford was employed as Príomhoide/ Principal & Múinteoir Nic Cába was appointed as class teacher. The school opened in temporary accommodation on the grounds of Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA Club with temporary recognition from the Dept. of Education. The school is under the patronage of An Foras Pátrúnachta and has a multi-denominational ethos.
In 2015 the sod was turned on the permanent site and we opened the doors of our new school for the 2016/2017 calendar year.
We are proud to say that we have a new state-of-the-art school with modern facilities. Today Gaelscoil na MÍ employs 20 full-time staff, has some 326 students enrolled and can accommodate another 120+ students as we fill our capacity.
On our website you can read about our classes, teachers, policies, news & events and admissions. We have included information about our Partners (sponsors & advertisers) as we continue to invest time and resources in raising much needed funds for IT equipment, a new play centre and programmes for our children.
We have raised over €25,000 in the last year and would like to thank our teaching staff, parents association & sponsors for their continued support.
Is mise le meas,
Clár Ní Mhaoláin, Príomhoide
