Staff of Gaelscoil na Mí 2021- 22

A Chairde dhíl,

Múinteoirí from each corner of Ireland make up the teaching staff in Gaelscoil na Mí and have lots to offer pupils in terms of music, sport, art and drama. Each distinct dialect of Irish is spoken, can be heard and is celebrated within our classrooms, on our yard and throughout our hallways and this creates a rich language environment in our school.

Teachers and pupils are supported by our wonderful special needs assistants, Cúntóir Catherine and Cúntóir Lisa. Joanne, our secretary has been with us since the very early days and Philip joined as caretaker shortly after we moved into our new school building in November 2016. 

​

Pupils and teachers enjoy long standing relationships with trainers who assist in delivering schools' programmes from Donaghmore- Ashbourne GAA club, Ashbourne Rugby Club and Ashbourne United Soccer and we also greatly look forward to our weekly Irish dance lessons with Múinteoir Aedín. Pupils also receive drama tuition from Múinteoir Carol a term per year and prior to the closure of the school due to Covid19 in March, pupils were enjoying weekly yoga classes.

We are very fortunate to have the support of an active, enthusiastic Coiste na dtuismitheoirí/ Parents' Association and an engaged, knowledgeable Board of Management.
